An extension lecture on “Personality Development and Job Oppourtunities” was organized in the college on 21-02-2019. Dr. S. K. Mishra (Principal, G. D.C. Bahel, Bhiwani) delivered a lecture on this topic. First of all he introduced the students with meaning of personality development. Personality development is the relatively enduring pattern of thoughts, feelings and behaviors that distinguish individuals from one other. In the field of psychology, there are five higher order and widely accepted personality characteristics which are such as: Neuroticism, Extraversion, Openness, Agreeableness and Consciousness. At the end of lecture, Dr. Mishra gave some personality development tips to the students which are given below:

An extension lecture on “Communication and Employability Skills” was organized in this college on 23 Jan, 2020. On this occasion Dr. Sanjay Kumar, Assistant Professor of Psychology, from Guru Jambheshwar Science and Technology University Hisar, interacted with the students and guided them about the importance of communication skills for employment. Dr. Kumar informed the students that employability skills are a set of skills and behaviors that are necessary for every job. Employability skills are sometimes called soft skills, foundational skills, work-readiness skills, or job-readiness skills. Employability skills allow you to: communicate with coworkers and the solve problems. At the end of lecture, Dr. Sanjay Kumar gave some communication tips that help the students for employability skills which are given below:

Name of Activity: Extension Lecture on Job Opportunities in Future

An extension lecture on “Job Opportunities in Future” was planned in this college on 20 Jan, 2020. On this occasion Dr. J. S. Mor, Associate Professor (Commerce) from Govt. College Narnaul, (Mahendergarh) delivered a lecture to the students in this college and guided them about the various job opportunities in the different streams like arts, science and commerce.  The factors that helps to make person employable includes knowledge and abilities relating to a particular job , the ability to identify suitable job opportunities , self presentations , ability to work under pressure and good communication in writing for varied purposes. In the last, Dr. J. S. Mor gave some tips to the students for making employable such as: keep your resume up to date, believe in yourself, always be learning, be proactive and smarten up.

Name of Activity: Divisional level Employability Training and Placement Fair

Date: 11 Nov to 15 Nov, 2019

Divisional level Employability Training and Placement Fair was organized from 11to 15 November at Govt. P.G. College Hisar. 15 students of our college from final year of different streams attended this five days job training programme. A mega job fair was organized at Govt. P. G. College Hisar, students of our college from different streams also appeared in interviews conducted by various companies related to IT/Software, Banking, Accounting, Financial Services, Engineering, Medical, Managing It, E-Telecom, Hospitability, Manufacturing, E- Commerce and BPO’S interviewed the students.

An extension lecture on “Role of Phonetics in Career Development” was well thought-out in this college on 11 Nov, 2019. On this instance Dr. Vivek Bharti, Associate Professor (English), from Govt. College Hisar, interacted with the students and guided them about the importance of Phonetics skills in Career Development. He discussed the role of phonetics in career development with students and teachers. He said that one of the most important applications of phonetics is in the teaching foreign languages. Phonetics allows teachers to examine the differences between sounds of source and target languages. Phonetics also enables learners to better understand and speak the language they are learning.

An extension lecture organized on the topic “Applications of Geographical information system (GIS) in Career Development” in this college dated 17 Sep., 2019. On this occasion Dr. Pawan Kumar, Assistant Professor Geography,Ch. Bansi Lal University, Bhiwani , interacted with the students and explained the features of Remote Sensing to the students. All students were provided with valuable information regarding various career prospects that remote sensing and geography as a whole, had to offer them. The subtle nuances of remote sensing were discussed in a learning friendly environment.

An extension lecture on “Career Opportunities in Future” was organized in this college on 05 Sep. 2019. On this occasion Dr. Kavita Grewal, Assistant Employment Officer, (Bhiwani) interacted with the students and guided them about various government employment schemes like saksham, earn while when you learn etc. Dr. Grewal said that the students have must internal motivational spirit, positive perception, self confidence, emotional intelligence, self efficacy and communication skills for any employment opportunity. The students were also informed about the jobs available to them in government and private sector after completing graduation and post graduation.

An extension lecture on “Offences and Punishment under Information Technology act 2000 and motor Vehicle (amendment act 2019)” was organized in this college on 03 Sep, 2019. On this event Dr. Sudhir Kumar Moudgal, Advocate, Tosham, Bhiwani interact with the students and guided them about the silent key features of Offences and Punishment under Information Technology act 2000 and motor Vehicle amendment act 2019 that we have to face in everyday life. Dr. Moudgal also informed the students that motor vehicle (amendment) act 2019 is being implemented in the country since September 1, 2019. This new act has increased fine for many offence to check the road accidents and improve the road safety in the country. Now driving without driving license will be fined Rs 5000 instead of 500 earlier. According to the 2018 report of the World Health Organization, the highest numbers of road accidents occur in India worldwide. Even China, the most populous country, is behind us in this regard. As per the report of the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, 2017, there are about 5 lakh road accidents occurred in India every year in which around 1.5 lakh people are killed. There are around 1.49 lakh people died in 2018 in the road accidents with Uttar Pradesh registering the maximum spike in fatalities.

First of all he introduced the students with meaning of personality development. Personality development is the relatively enduring pattern of thoughts, feelings and behaviors that distinguish individuals from one other. In the field of psychology, there are five higher order and widely accepted personality characteristics which are such as: Neuroticism, Extraversion, Openness, Agreeableness and Consciousness. At the end of lecture, Dr. Ajay Sharma gave some personality development tips to the students which are given below:

a. don’t copy anyone

b. create your own personal style

c. don’t doubt yourself

d. be an active listener

e. learn to have patience and focus on your communication skills.

Name of Activity: Extension Lecture on GST

Date: 20-02-2019

An extension lecture on GST was organized in the college on 20-02-2019. Mr. Trilok Chand (Associate Prof. in Commerce, Govt. College Bhiwani) delivered a lecture on this topic. He gave useful information about GST to the students. He said that goods and service tax is an indirect tax levied on supply of goods and services. GST is one direct tax for entire country. One of the advantages of GST is that it integrated different tax lines such as central excise, service tax, sales tax, luxury tax etc. into one consolidated tax. It prevents multiple tax layers imposed on goods and services.GST being a uniform tax system it would yield the necessary information to the end consumers and help in creating transparent environment. The bill was passed to implement GST from 01-07-2017 by prime minister of India and finance Minister Arun Jaitely. GST was launched on midnight of 01-07-2017.

An extension lecture on “Role of Phonetics in Career Development” was organized in the college on 04-02-2019. Dr. Maman Singh (Assistant Prof. in English, Govt. College Bhiwani) delivered a lecture on this topic. He discussed the role of phonetics in career development with students and teachers. He said that one of the most important applications of phonetics is in the teaching foreign languages. Phonetics allows teachers to examine the differences between sounds of source and target languages. Phonetics also enables learners to better understand and speak the language they are learning. There are many reasons why you should learn phonetics:

A. phonetics helps in decoding words and pronouncing it correctly

B. phonetics improves fluency and accent and helps in inducing a reading habit 

Name of Activity: Extension Lecture on Importance of Democracy and Secularism

Date: 23-01-2019

An extension lecture on “Importance of Democracy and Secularism” was organized in the college on 23-01-2019. Dr. Pawan Sharma (Associate Prof. of Political Science from G.C.W. Badhara) delivered a lecture on this topic. Dr. Pawan Sharma discussed about importance of democracy and secularism with students briefly. First of all Dr. Pawan Sharma said that Secularism is to create a society in which people of all religions or people who don’t belong to any religion can live together peacefully . Secularism is important in democratic nations because it defend people not to make any law that discriminate different faith. Secularism is part of democracy which grants equal rights. Secularism protects the equal rights of minorities to citizens. Democracy and secularism are interdependent and are mutually strengthen each other. Democracy can’t survive without secularism.

An extension lecture on “How to Make Yourself Employable” was organized in the college on 19-01-2019. Dr. J. S. Mor (Associate Prof. of Commerce) delivered a lecture on this topic. Dr. J. S. Mor discussed briefly about this topic with students. The six behaviors attribute that makes your career more employable included; good attendance, promptness, proper attire, cleans and safe work environment, appropriate voice and pride. The factors that helps to make person employable includes knowledge and abilities relating to a particular job, the ability to identify suitable job opportunities , self presentations , ability to work under pressure and good communication in writing for varied purposes. In the last, Dr. J. S. Mor gave some tips to the students for making employable such as: keep your resume up to date, believe in yourself, always be learning, be proactive, smarten up.

Name of Activity: Extension Lecture on Fashion and Designing Engineering

An extension lecture on Fashion and Designing Engineering was organized in the college on 19-09-2018. Dr. Bhoop Singh (Retired Associate Prof. Physics) delivered a lecture on this topic. Dr. Bhoop Singh discussed about Fashion and Designing Engineering with students. He said that a fashion engineer applies engineering principles in design and manufacturing of textiles and fiber products as well as designing machinery, equipments and tools used in fashion and textile industry. Fashion design and engineering program is special in that it is not only the crossover of engineering technology and art design but also the combination of fashion discipline and other engineering disciplines. Retailers are selling more fashion inspired clothing which increases the demand for fashion designers to design clothing and accessories for everyday wear for the market.

Name of Activity: Extension Lecture on How to Crack Interview

Date: 21-03-2018

A remarkable guest lecture about interview systems was organized by the placement cell on 21st March 2018. Sh. Rambilas (Career Launcher, Bhiwani) explained the crucial role that interviews play in job opportunities. He stressed the need of being able to communicate freely and clearly. He also invited the girls in the audience for a live mock interview and explained the minor differences through various examples. Students were able to interact freely and took away lots of information. The session concluded on a happy note.

Name of Activity: Extension Lecture on Career Opportunities after Graduation

Date: 17-11-2017

An excellent guest lecture about career building was organized by the placement cell on 17thNovember 2017. Dr. Umesh Arya (Professor in management, G. J. U. Hisar) told the students about the various careers open to the students after completion of graduation. Professor Arya helped the students to overcome their myths and prejudices about traditional career prospects. Dr. Arya opened a new world of opportunities to the girls and helped them in building ambitions for themselves. In a way, he motivated the students to fly high in the sky of opportunities.

A wonderful guest lecture about books was organized by the placement cell on 31st October 2017. Dr. Jitender Singh (Librarian, G. C. Bhiwani) informed the students about the importance of books in the life of every student. Dr. Singh gave away tips which would help the students to distinguish between good books and excellent books. Furthermore, he emphasized the role that good books play in cracking important competition exams. At the last Dr. Singh also explained to the girls the importance of competition in one’s life.

Date: 28-09-2017

A special guest lecture about moral values was organized by the placement cell on 28th September 2017. Dr. Satpal Arya (Associate professor, G. C. Bhiwani) enlightened the students about the special place that moral values hold in every society. He explained the small things that differentiated among the civilized and primitive societies. Various students interacted with the esteemed expert. Extensive discussions were carried out on various subjects that tread along the fine lines of morality and immorality. All in this entire lecture was a great success.

Name of Activity: Extension Lecture on How to Prepare for Interview

Date: 21-03-2017

An impressive guest lecture about interviews was organized by the placement cell on 21st March 2017. Dr. R. D. Verma (Associate Professor of Geography, G.C. Bhiwani) emphasized the importance of quality speaking in interviews. Dr. Verma guided the students to build a good personality and speaking skills. Also he laid stress on how important interviews have become today. He also gave them important tips to crack interviews. Students who were preparing for competitive exams and planned on taking up jobs were more specifically targeted and benefitted by this session.

Date: 18-03-2017

A remarkable guest lecture about economic systems was organized by the placement cell on 18th March 2017. Dr. Karampal (Professor of management, G.J.U. Hisar) took the students on a journey to the institution and basic concepts of cash flow in an economy. Going ahead, he laid out mind map as to why cashless is better and how students can contribute to making the economy a cashless one. The students were able to grasp the concepts and saw the economy with a new understanding. Students of economics and commerce attended the lecture and discussed about the economy of India.

An excellent guest lecture about education was organized by the placement cell on 27thJanuary 2017. Dr. S. K. Mishra (Principal, G. D.C. Bahel, Bhiwani) told the students about the real meaning of education. He also made the students think about the impact that education has on the society. The students were guided effectively about how they could attain meaningful information and cause positive impact on the society. Coupled with the patriotism still fresh from the Republic Day, this lecture was a success as it prompted the girls to build a better society with better education.

A wonderful guest lecture about personality grooming was organized by the placement cell on 8th September 2016. Dr. J. S. More (Associate professor in commerce, Government College Birhor, Jhajjar) enlightened the students about the importance of personality in the practical world. He gave away tips which would help to develop individuality and groom the students. Furthermore, the importance of charisma, charm and eloquence were also discussed. Students from all streams were able to find loopholes in their development processes and were able to identify how to overcome them.

Dr. Ombir Singh (Associate professor in geography, K.U.K.) explained the features of Remote Sensing to the students. All students were provided with valuable information regarding various career prospects that remote sensing and geography as a whole, had to offer them. The subtle nuances of remote sensing were discussed in a learning friendly environment. Several students of Bachelors and Masters in geography were benefited by the program overall.

An extension lecture on Personality Development and Job Opportunities was organized in the college on 13-03-2016. Dr. S.K. Mishra (Principal GDG BEHAL) delivered a lecture on this topic. First of all, Dr. S.K. Mishra discussed about the meaning of personality development. Personality development is relatively enduring pattern of thoughts, feelings and behaviors that distinguish individuals from one other. Dr. Mishra told about the various ways in which students improve their personality and gave some tips for personality development. After this Dr. Mishra discussed about job opportunities. He said that job is an important factor and without work life is impossible. The students were informed about jobs in various fields after completing their graduation.  Some important things about a job were also discussed with students which are given below:

b. able to learn new things and develop your skill

c. achieve measurable results

An extension lecture on Career Opportunities in Future was organized in the college on 08-03-2016. Dr. Ajay Sharma (Prof. of Management, TITS College Bhiwani) delivered a lecture on this topic. Dr. Ajay Sharma interacted with students and guided them about different type of jobs depending upon their subjects in graduation. The students were also informed about how to prepare for jobs available to them after completing their graduation. Students were also informed about civil service exams. Students were informed about PG courses after completing their graduation. Students were informed that after completing their PG degree they can do job in companies and teaching field. Dr. Ajay Sharma in order to reach your goals, you should be persistent, optimistic, hardworking, creative etc. The future expectations of every person are connected with acquiring quality education which includes many aspects such as self creation, developing your abilities, social adaptability, creative potentials and intellect. The lecture was attended by a large number of students and students asked their queries regarding career.

An extension lecture on Mind Toughness was organized in the college on 09-02-2016. Dr. Pawan Sharma (Associate Prof. of Pol. Science, GCW BADHRA) delivered a lecture on this topic. He discussed in detail about this topic with students. Mind toughness is ability to resist, manage and overcome doubts, worries, concern and circumstances that prevent you from succeeding. Mind strength helps you in manage your thoughts, regulate your emotions and behave productively. It involves training and preparing oneself to be mentally ready for whatever challenge comes your way. Creating routines, utilizing visualization techniques and practicing self task are all the ways in which one can increase mind toughness. People with a strong character are confident, assertive, ambitious and hard working. Intelligence is helpful if you want to be successful but mind toughness is necessary.

An extension lecture on employment opportunities in social science was organized in the college on 02-12-2015. Dr. Pawan Phogat (Associate Prof. of History, Govt. College Bhiwani) delivered a lecture on this topic. He discussed about different jobs in social science. The occupations like civil service carriers, charity officers, community development worker, diversity officer etc. are a selection of those which may interest social science students. Opportunities are everywhere with an education in social science. Because social science degree relate to study of human behavior, societies and other aspects of humanity graduates are suited for job in public service. A degree in social science can be used for a variety of employment opportunities. Different employability skills such as analytical ability, data collection analysis and interpretation, problem solving, project management, quantitative and qualitative research etc. gained from social science degree.

An extension lecture on Indian Economy and Employment was organized in the college on 30-11-2015. Dr. Jagbir Malik (Associate Prof. of Economics, Govt. College Bhiwani) delivered a lecture on this topic. First of all, he discussed about Indian economy. Indian economy is termed as developing economy of the world. Some features like higher population below poverty line, agriculture based economy and lower rate of capital formation tagged it as a developing economy in the world. Economic structure is a term that describes the changing balance of output, trade, incomes and employment drawn from different economic sectors. After this Dr. Jagbir Malik discussed about employment. Employment is an important part of economic, social and environmental development process and procedure of any country. Employment provides financial freedom and decision making power. Employment opportunities can help to reduce corruption and to remove terrorism. With job we attain confidence, self respect, social status which makes us feel the part of the society.
